The property itself is very nice design, clean and welcoming. The best part is the staff and the owner, awesome people. Annie was waiting for us at the property and offer us an upgrade. We live the loft we stayed in. She stay with us and explained us what we can do in Kanazawa and Mikawa and give us a map and other tourist informations. After she called to make a restaurant reservation in the village at the famous sashimi place where the cook is authorized to cook Paffer fish. We went walking at the restaurant and unfortunately we had to go ti an atm to take cash because the restaurant accept only cash. Sasa, the owner of the B&B was looking after us, after the restaurant told him we went for cash. At the supermarket he pick us up in the car and bring us to the restaurant. He helped us with the order and later he come to pick us up and invite us for sake in the bae village. We are appreciating everything and we highly recommend Ainee, Sasa and his B&B. They also had a small self service breakfast included in the price and a good coffee machine. Value and service of our stay at this property are more than 10. Thank you again.

The epitome of Japanese hospitality! The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. They gave us recommendations for where to eat in Mikawa, helped us order food, helped us get a car for trips to the beach and Hakusan National Park, and recommended we attend some local music events. Strolling through the town on quiet evenings after a delicious meal was really special. The suite was very comfortable and well-equipped for our family of four. Breakfast was yummy and very nice to have on site. The place also came with bikes and free entrance to the local onsen. Mikawa is a 20 minute train ride from Kanazawa Station. After being in Tokyo and Kyoto, this was the perfect place to stay to get away from big cities and see other parts of Japan. But Kanazawa is still close and it was easy to navigate getting back to Tokyo through Kanazawa Station. The hosts also gave us information about a city bus loop that leaves from Kanazawa Station and stops at major attractions. In the end, we had so much fun being in Mikawa and seeing other areas that we didn't go to Kanazawa except through the train station.

Such a warm welcome from the hosts - they helped us plan our stay in Mikawa showing us all of the activities on offer and really welcoming us to the town for the few days. Having heard we wanted to do a visit to Shirakawa-Go they immediately booked us into the tour which was a blessing as this secured us the final seats for the day. Both our room and the wider property felt very clean and a nice level of homely which we loved. I’m gluten free and they even ordered me some gf soy sauce to maximise our time in Japan which was such a sweet touch. The place is about 20min train (station is a 5 min walk from the accommodation) into Kanazawa. We throughly enjoyed being out of the business, close to the seaside with the most amazing fresh sushi locally and beautiful beach sunsets but also easy reach of Kanazawa. There are also bikes at the property which are free to use and make travelling around Mikawa very easy (reach the shops/ beach / local museum in a few mins ride). We loved our stay and thoroughly recommend if in the area or wanting a few days peace outside the city. Thank you very much!!

After spending over a week in Tokyo, a couple of days in Mikawa felt like a breath of fresh air. In retrospect, we would have loved to extend our stay at the Mikawa B&B. Sasa and Annie are exceptional hosts—kind and attentive. The facility is impeccably clean, featuring beautiful, traditional-style rooms. The sashimi and sushi restaurants are outstanding, especially since Sasa and Annie guide you through the experience, as the menus aren't in English. The ocean views and sunsets are stunning, and the B&B offers free bike rentals along with access to public hot spring baths at a steamy 42.7°C. Mikawa, though small and somewhat off the beaten path, is a gem that deserves to be cherished. I sincerely hope Sasa and Annie continue to thrive in their work and enjoy every moment. I kindly ask future guests to respect the tranquility of this beautiful place and refrain from overwhelming it with mass tourism.

This is my first time pausing during a trip to write a review, but my experience at B&B Mikawa truly deserves it. Sasa and Annie are incredible hosts—both are so full of joy and radiate such positive energy. They went above and beyond, from helping us book amazing local restaurants to securing last-minute temple reservations. If this isn’t top-notch hospitality, I don’t know what is. We only stayed two days at B&B Mikawa, but if we’d known how wonderful it would be, we would have booked an entire week. The facility itself is modern, stylishly designed, and very comfortable. With access to an onsen, bicycles, and a nearby train station, everything we needed was at our fingertips. Thanks to Sasa-san and Annie-san, we created unforgettable memories of Japan. I hope we get to meet them again someday!
